Emma Chua | Special Counsel

Emma has worked exclusively as a family lawyer since 2009 and has extensive experience in all aspects of family law, including both complex and straightforward property and children's matters, spousal maintenance, child support and both married and de facto matters.

In addition to her legal qualifications, Emma draws on her knowledge and expertise from her Bachelor of Behavioral Science (Psychology) when advising clients in all aspects of family law. She provides clear, practical and strategic advice and approaches all matters amicably and with a focus on avoiding the parties' relationship deteriorating. Emma is also experienced at representing clients in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia in situations where the Court's assistance is required.

Emma has extensive experience in matters involving family violence and cohercive control. She regularly represents clients in family law matters that Intervention Orders and works closely with her Police and Criminal defence colleagues to achieve desireable outcomes for her clients.
