Justin Courtney | Consultant
Justin has wide-ranging experience in insolvency and litigation. He joined O’Loughlins Lawyers on 1 April 2015 as a consultant after heading the Litigation team at a leading mid size Adelaide firm for nearly 10 years.
Justin acts for administrators, liquidators, bankruptcy trustees, company directors, creditors and debtors in the diverse range of issues which arise from personal and corporate insolvency. He is renowned for a practical and pragmatic approach to resolving problems and issues. He is the particularly proud of his efforts in the Spring Gully voluntary administration which resulted in an iconic South Australian company being returned to its owners and continuing as a profitable enterprise.
He also has a keen interest in the resolution of complex partnership disputes and trust disputes.
In 2015 he completed his Masters of Law at the University of Adelaide with an emphasis on insolvency related topics. In 2014 he was awarded the Dean’s Certificate for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Insolvency Law. Justin is recommended as an insolvency practitioner in Doyle’s guide to the best lawyers in Australia.
His professional memberships recognise his involvement, and breadth of knowledge in the sector, and his New Zealand heritage, is reflected by his representation on the Board of the Rugby Union of South Australia.
